John E. Fehsenfeld, his four sons and several third generation members have set precedence in petroleum and petroleum-related industries - overseeing companies involved with asphalt, transportation, construction, aggregates, refining, environmental services, lubricants and waste oil management. An ability to look ahead and help develop innovative approaches to meet the ever-changing needs of the future has kept the Fehsenfeld businesses on the cutting edge. Crystal Flash Petroleum is a family owned business incorporated by John E. Fehsenfeld in 1930. At its conception the company sold one product, axle grease. In the early years of development, Crystal Flash established tank wagon routes to deliver kerosene to grocery stores and opened a few service stations. From this foundation the company has grown to become a diversified marketer and an operator of retail convenience stores throughout the State of Indiana.
